Oh, What Do You Do In The Summertime?

just some random pictures

Tiny Dancer

This summer Li'l Myah took a dance course through the U of U. She loved it! It was right up her alley. Sort of an interpretive dance class where they were given a prop or a suggestion of some sort and they just did their own thing. What fun it was to watch her being creative and having such a good time.

First Day of School

Chloe started 4th grade this week. I can't believe how old she is getting. So far, she is really enjoying it! I've been a little lonely though (sniff, sniff). It's still summer and it seems like we should be at the pool or something. Not sure about this year round stuff...

Happy 9th Coco!

Chloe (Coco) celebrated her 9th birthday this week. Grandpa and Grandma and Uncle Mark and Uncle Ryan came up for dinner. Chloe chose Hawaiian Haystacks for her birthday dinner. Yum! She received lots of great gifts, oh and some Billy Bob teeth from her uncles (which of course were the hit). Thanks for that! I can't believe she is 9. Seems like yesterday that I had her. What a joy she is to our family. So, in honor of her 9th birthday, here are 9 words that describe the little princess:
1. smart
2. energetic
3. creative
4. lovable
5. poetic
6. beautiful
7. charming
8. funny
9. thoughtful
Sure love you, Chloe!

Brace Face

Before

Prepping her teeth with blue goo

Open wide!

After

There's no hope for our kids. Jason and I both had braces, so inevitably our kids will. What a trooper Chloe was though. I was so proud of her! Not many 8 years olds have to get braces, but they are trying to make room for her teeth to come in close to where they should be. Supposedly, if we can take care of some of these issues now, she won't have to have so much orthodontia later on in life. (It's a new philosophy, people.) She was pretty excited to pick colors for her bands. Pink and green were the winners. It turned out to be a pretty fun day. We laughed really hard about how she looked with her mouth stretched out.

Myah Rock Star

So, Myah, my 4 year old, has recently informed me of her plans to become a rock star when she grows up. She also told me to start calling her "Myah Rock Star". She loves to sing and dance and she always puts on this hat and grabs her microphone and guitar before she performs for us. It's all part of her image. The other day, Jason overheard her singing a song that she heard on Guitar Hero (don't judge me). It went like this, "I hit myself with a wooden spoon..." What?...you've never heard of that song before? Maybe that's because the real words are, "I hate myself for loving you". I guess she'll have to brush up on her lyrics before she goes on tour. And no, nobody here hits themselves or anyone else with a wooden spoon.

How hard can this be?

Well, this is the most technical thing I've done in a long time. Okay, ever. I guess I've just really enjoyed looking at everyone else's blog and now I must have one too. Warning: we're really not all that exciting, but feel free to look anyway.
