Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk

Since Myah has turned 5, she is very much in the "I can do it myself" stage of life. For the most part, this new independence works out just fine. Today, however, we discovered that getting a gallon of milk off the top shelf of the fridge is still going to require parental assistance.

This is a gallon-sized puddle of milk on my kitchen floor.

I guess plastic milk cartons are not made to withstand a 5 foot plummet to the floor.

Oh man, that's not my favorite stage. I really don't enjoy the aftermath of the "I can do it" stunts. Good luck:)

BECKY!!!

I clicked on through Josh and Amber's blog. I can't even remember the last time I talked to you! How are you?! It is so good to see you and your lovely family!

If you want to see pictures of my family head on over to

I can't believe how big your girls are...I still picture them as babies!

Well, I'm off to put your blog in my reader so I can keep up with you.

Your long lost almost sister,
Shelly

Squirt hand soap? Odd indeed...I don't even remember that! Now I do remember Shelly Belly (thanks for the reminder!), fighting off Chad with grill tools, breaking my ankle in your front yard, and of course the jungle sleeping bags! My mom probably still has them.

Speaking of my parents...my mom will be happy to hear you have a blog. She loves reading them. (I see you don't allow anonymous comments though...so she'll be sad she can't comment!) My sister doesn't have a blog. Email me and I'll send you her email address. I'm sure she'd love to show off pictures of her new baby Cooper.

I love blogging and I love reading blogs so I'm sure we'll be able to keep better track of each other now! Come on over in the next few days for the virtual Christmas tour. I'm trying to get a few blogging friends to participate. It should be fun!

I am tempted to leave you hanging but since you're dying to know...JD stands for Jeremy Donohue. Jeremy is Jerry's real name. Don't ask why we named the FIFTH boy after dad, we have no idea...I guess it was just in case we start having a bunch of girls! :)

Tell Myah not to feel bad & that I've totally done that within the past six months and I'm just a LITTLE bit older than five!

I have so been there. Katie is that way! I will have to show her these pictures to show her what happens when we try some things by ourselves before we are ready. Thanks for sharing.
