We've seen several of these leaf bugs in the yard recently. I guess they are commonly known as Katydids. Nice expression, Learnus.

Just Who Does She Think She Is?

- I'm fortunate enough and blessed to be a stay at home mom to the two best daughters ever. I've also been blessed with the best husband in the world. I cherish my role as mom and wife and strive to do my best, but I realize I sometimes fall short. However, I can find glimpses and moments of perfection in the daily doings of our imperfect lives. These are the things I am truly grateful for and the things I will blog about(usually). Then, if for some reason my kids grow up to be miserable adults, I can just pull out my blog book and say, "See we were happy...here's the proof!". Plus, having a blog means I don't have to beat myself up anymore for not creating fabulous scrapbooks for my kids...right???

Whoa! That bug is freaky! I have never seen a bug like that before. Must be an AZ thing? You guys look like you had so much fun at Disneyland. We missed you by a week. That would have been crazy to run into you there!:)
I've seen quite a few of those in our yard lately too!! I hope they're not trying to take over the neighborhood... We'll have to send your husband on a hunt to dispose of them all!

I am so glad you posted this. I keep telling my little Katie I want to find one so I can show it too her because I call her Katydid all the time. I will pull up your blog now. And if you find another call us I'll bring the kids over to see it they would love it.
